To mark the 100th anniversary of the Fotoclub Rastatt e.V., the City Museum is presenting the special exhibition "100 Years of the Fotoclub Rastatt" from March 19 to September 20.
The exhibition contains current photographic works by 13 members of the association. It offers the entire spectrum of digital photography with classic and modern motifs. The photographs on display include landscapes, portraits, architecture, still lifes, animal and plant photography, travel images, experimental photography and macro shots. Guided tours and photo walks with members of the association complement the exhibition. More detailed information on the accompanying program is available at Stadtmuseum | Rastatt.
From June 25, 2026, the exhibition will once again be presented in a completely new guise after a change of pictures. It will be complemented by a small selection of historical cameras from 1900 to the present day on private loan.
The photo club looks back on a long tradition. On March 11, 1926, the Fotoclub Rastatt e.V. was founded in Rastatt as the "Verein zur Pflege der Liebhaberphotographie" (Association for the cultivation of amateur photography). The club has held a number of exhibitions throughout its history, including the "Fascination of Photography" exhibition at the Stadtmuseum in 2016 to mark its 90th anniversary. The association is still active today and is one of the oldest photography associations in Baden-Württemberg.
