What is hidden grants Mo Diener absolute visibility. Following ten years of collective work as an artist, activist, and researcher, Diener returns to her solo practice and turns her gaze backward: archival in her approach to her own work, and archaeological in her exploration of hidden layers on site. At the center of this retrospective is the hologram «The Archaeologist.» As a 3D audiovisual narrative, it functions as a portal that immediately transports visitors to another time. Created in dialogue with an archaeologist, a hydrologist, and a musician, it serves as the starting point for a journey into the future, initiated by a spectacular archaeological discovery in Lake Zug. A multifaceted cosmos unfolds around this central hologram. Through the interplay of videos, objects, and photographs spanning four decades of Diener's career, a space opens up that speculatively renders worlds visible—both in the exhibition and in the accompanying monograph (Scheidegger & Spiess, 2026).
