Have you ever smelled the time?
Do you remember the smell of freshly fallen rain on dry asphalt? Or the heavy, damp earth of a deep forest?

Scents have the magical power to catapult us to another time or a faraway place within seconds:
Before our mind even realizes what is happening.

We would like to take you on this fascinating journey on
Saturday, April 11th.

How scents awaken feelings and touch memories
In our current exhibition Énergies fossiles, everything revolves around the power of the earth. But this time we're not just looking, we're taking a deep breath and asking ourselves the questions:
What does "time" actually smell like?
What does the smell of damp earth trigger in me?

Together with two very special guests, we explore the world between matter and psyche:

Vincent Micotti, the internationally acclaimed perfumer from Basel, has created fragrances exclusively for this afternoon that capture the essence of the earth. He makes the invisible smellable.

Stefan Rehmann, psychotherapist and connoisseur of subtle nuances, shares his perspective on human perception with us. As a blind art lover, he opens our eyes to senses that we often neglect in everyday life.

Why should you be there?
It won't be a classic lecture.
It is a dialog. An experiment.
An afternoon in which we find out together how deeply fossil energies and human memories are rooted in us.
