Her work, which spans several decades and diverse media, is an impressive example of an artistic practice that operates at the intersection of anthropology and social engagement. From the beginnings of her studies in ethnology and anthropology to her role as co-founder of the Roma Jam Session art collective (RJSaK), Diener has developed a unique language that is both analytically sharp and aesthetically subtle.
