The theorbo, an instrument of the lute family that first appeared in the 16th century, serves as both a solo instrument and its own accompaniment.
Musicians Daniel Zapico and Nina Laisné invite the audience on a journey through the history of plucked string instruments, ranging from early Baroque to South American folk music.

At the heart of the scenography for *Arca ostinata*, a work presented in the exhibition *A World Turned Upside Down*, the theorbo transforms itself into a cathedral through a play of musical anamorphoses and altered timbres.
