In Müllheim and the surrounding area, the existence of those who were not part of the so-called "national community" was also destroyed during the National Socialist era. One example of this is the fate of Jewish citizens who suffered exclusion and persecution and were murdered.
Why could this happen in our midst? Why was the Nazi ideology comparatively popular among the inhabitants of the district of Müllheim? What kind of persecution were members of the opposition in Müllheim subjected to? How was Nazi ideology communicated in Müllheim and the Markgräflerland region? How did the town deal with its Nazi past after the Second World War?
In a project, Year 11 pupils have investigated these and other questions and are presenting their answers in their own exhibition.
Vernissage of the exhibition: Saturday, July 26, 2025, 4 p.m.
