As part of the special exhibition “Ornament & Symbol: What Adorns Men,” the Dürnitz Museum Foyer in the Old Castle will become a hotspot for tattoo culture. The focus: the tattoo as one of the most personal and permanent forms of body art.

Two tattoo stations bring the experience to life—two tattoo artists will demonstrate their techniques and share stories from their work.

Anyone who wants to can even get a tattoo on-site for free! Slots will be assigned on-site. Plus, there will be exciting insights into working methods, trends, and developments in the tattoo scene, straight from the artists themselves.

At 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., short guided tours exploring the cultural history of tattoos will take place through the exhibition “Zier & Zeichen.” Admission to the exhibition is required for the short guided tours.
