Bassma El Adisey and Michael Hiltbrunner in conversation about Mo Diener’s publication from Scheidegger & Spiess, performance by Mo Diener
The Rehmann Museum in Laufenburg invites you to a special highlight on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., as part of the ongoing retrospective exhibition *Mo Diener – Hologram*. The event will feature a live performance by Zurich-based artist Mo Diener, as well as an in-depth exploration of her new monograph, recently published by Scheidegger & Spiess.

Art historian and curator Bassma El Adisey, along with cultural anthropologist and museum curator Michael Hiltbrunner, will discuss the publication and the multifaceted body of work by the media and performance artist. The bilingual monograph (German/English), published by Scheidegger & Spiess, deliberately breaks with the conventions of traditional museum catalogs. It is conceived as a “fluid monument” that documents four decades of untamed archival work, performative experiments, and transdisciplinary research, placing them in a contemporary dialogue with the exhibition space.

Mo Diener: Four Decades of Crossing Boundaries Between Art and Research
With the exhibition *Hologramm*, Mo Diener (born in 1961 in Horgen, lives in Zurich) is presenting a comprehensive solo exhibition at an art museum for the first time. Her practice, which began in the late 1980s within the squatter scene and at the F+F School of Art and Design, consistently combines performance, video installations, personal politics of memory, and an archaeological search for traces.
