Opening of the Permanent Exhibition "Traditional Costumes in Transylvania"

The Transylvanian Museum in Gundelsheim will participate in Open Monument Day 2026, Sunday, September 13, with free admission from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a varied program. At 2:00 p.m., there will be a guided tour of the current special exhibition, “Transylvania and the Sea.” At 3:30 p.m., the new permanent exhibition on traditional costumes in Transylvania will be officially opened. Everyone interested is cordially invited to attend the opening ceremony! The historic rooms of Horneck Castle will also be open to the public on Open Monument Day, either on your own or as part of a guided tour. The Transylvanian Cultural Center at Horneck Castle will offer guided tours of the castle at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Registration is not required for any of the program events.
