Exhibition "Prehistoric Forms. Ice Age Art of Europe"
The way people pay attention to each other is not a matter of course. We use tools and techniques to draw attention, to make complicated things understandable and to create something together. Learning from each other is a human recipe for success. For at least two million years, humans have been creating conditions that expand their attention. Around 100,000 years ago, they began to consciously leave traces.
Was that the basis of art?
Miriam N. Haidle from the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities will give participants an insight into these early developments.
