In two exhibition rooms, the permanent exhibition presents the two phases of German (democratic) history represented by the Salmen: the context of the proclamation of the "13 demands of the people" on September 12, 1847 and the history of Offenburg's Jewish community, which was brutally destroyed on November 9/10, 1938.
