A Tour of the New Special Exhibition
The guided tour of the special exhibition offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of men’s jewelry—from the Stone Age to the present day. It shows that jewelry has always been more than mere adornment: it can express power, status, and belonging, and is an important means of male self-expression. Selected objects illustrate just how closely jewelry is linked to questions of identity. At the same time, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on changing notions of masculinity—for what is considered “masculine” evolves over time and reflects the values and norms of a society.
