The Revolution of 1848–49 was also a women’s revolution throughout Europe. They wanted to break the invisible chains that governed their lives. They fought against social hardship and for political change—and rebelled against an order that oppressed them socially and legally.

During the guided tour of the special exhibition, we’ll learn more about the realities of women’s lives, their influence on society, and their goals during the revolution.

The tour is part of the “DORT Thursdays in the Ortenau” series. Afterward, we invite you to enjoy a seasonal autumn beverage.
