On September 12, 1847, approximately 900 people gathered in the Salmensaal for a meeting organized by the “Resolute Friends of the Constitution” to announce the “13 Demands of the People.” By the standards of the time and given the size of the hall, this was a massive event.

Why did so many people gather at the Salmen? How did they find out about it? And how did the organizers manage to get so many people excited about this event? This short tour has the answers!
