Thomas Weiß Reads Johann Peter Hebel
To mark the opening of the special exhibition “Hebel’s Swiss Journey,” Thomas Weiß will present his two works, “Theuerste Freundin” and “Hebel, der Heimatflüsterer.” Thomas Weiß approaches Johann Peter Hebel in a way that is both personal and grounded in literary history. His texts open up new perspectives on the life, work, and influence of one of the most significant poets of the Alemannic-speaking region. The reading combines biographical insights with selected passages from his works and invites the audience to rediscover Hebel’s language and world of ideas.
