The special exhibition is combined with elements from the permanent collections
This guided tour takes visitors not only through the special exhibition but also through the permanent collections of the State Museum. The focus begins with the versatility of men’s jewelry: Jewelry can express power, status, and belonging, and is an important means of male self-expression. Selected objects illustrate how closely jewelry is linked to questions of identity.

The tour connects the themes of the special exhibition with selected aspects of the permanent collections: at times the focus is on women’s jewelry, while at other times the tour explores jewelry from the Celts, the Middle Ages, or the Stone Age.
