Gabriela Morschett: Thinking
The Markgräfler Art Prize 2025 of the Sparkasse Markgräflerland Foundation for the Promotion of Art and Culture goes to Müllheim artist Gabriela Morschett. In her exhibition, she is showing recent drawings and sculptures as well as a retrospective of her etchings from the last thirty years. The black line is her most important means of expression; most of her works are deep black and rich in contrast and brilliance, right down to their finest interweavings. Her abstract line formations can be interpreted as thought patterns and mental images.

The Markgräfler Art Prize, endowed with 5,000 euros, is awarded to regional artists every one to two years. The vernissage and award ceremony will take place on November 12. A catalog will be published to accompany the exhibition.
