To mark the 350th anniversary of the birth of Margravine Sibylla Augusta, the City Museum is once again organizing a small, exclusive birthday soirée at the end of the anniversary year.
The evening themed tour with Johanna Kätzel through the permanent exhibition of the town museum focuses on the life and work of the duke's daughter, who grew up in Bohemia and became Baden's most important margravine through her marriage to Ludwig Wilhelm von Baden-Baden. Widowed at a young age, she steered the fortunes of Baden in the guardianship of her two sons during turbulent, war-torn times and left her mark on the town of Rastatt with her prestigious building projects to this day. The tour is rounded off with a small mulled wine drink and cookies.
