History and tradition
The Elztal Museum in the former monastery of the canons shows a spectrum of cultural-historical themes on 1700 square metres and four floors.

In the Elztalmuseum the tradition of Waldkirch organ building and the world of mechanical musical instruments is visible and above all audible.
Public organ tours: Wednesdays at 15:00 and Sundays at 14:30.

New is the permanent exhibition for regional and city history "TalGeschichte(n)": from the foundation of the monastery, to the zenith of the gem cutting workshop, to industrialisation and carnival, the history becomes tangible and interactive for visitors.
