Véronique Verdet (*1967 in Cannes), the granddaughter of the Herzger couple, works as a freelance artist in Saarbrücken. Verdet has made a name for herself with drawings and installations, which she describes as a fictitious social cartography. In her works, the Franco-German artist sensitively addresses collective migratory movements, ambivalences, the relationship between the crowd and the individual, spaces and places, borders and boundaries, belonging and isolation.
Véronique Verdet has created a new filigree yet large-format cluster drawing from her "Fouloscopie" series especially for the Kunstmuseum Singen project space, in the middle of her grandparents' exhibition, which she combines with other drawings and miniature figures in boxes.
