The German-French artist Véronique Verdet (*1967, Cannes) lives and works in Saarbrücken. She studied sculpture and audiovisual art at the HBK Saar art academy from 2000 to 2004 and has made a name for herself with delicate drawings and installations, which she describes as "fictitious social cartography".
Verdet developed a new, large-format cluster drawing from the "Fouloscopie" series especially for the Kunstmuseum Singen project space, which she combines with other drawings and miniature figures in wooden boxes. In her works, she addresses collective migratory movements, ambivalences, the relationship between the crowd and the individual, spaces and places, borders and boundaries, belonging and isolation.
