The Markgräfler Museum is showing new works by Müllheim-based artist Sylvia Verwick for the first time in a solo exhibition at the Blankenhorn-Palais. The exhibits, which were specially developed for the gallery rooms and the representative dance hall, alternate between different media such as drawing, figurative object, video and installation. In addition to the different techniques, the use of selected materials is surprising. The exhibition also offers visitors the opportunity to rediscover the rooms of the Blankenhorn-Palais from an unusual perspective.
Sylvia T. Verwick has been based in South Baden since 1993. She was awarded the Förderpreis in 1998 and the Art Prize of the Sparkasse Markgräflerland Foundation for the Promotion of Art and Culture in 2012.
