Strong colors, a broad brushstroke, fine lines and delicate splashes of glaze on white porcelain are a direct expression of emotions that could not be more contrasting. The internationally awarded ceramist Sonja Top (*1969) from St. Goar decorates her vessels with a grand gesture and a stroke full of energy, as if she wanted to counter the discipline required at the potter's wheel with something freely moving.
