The exhibition presents works by 30 students from Stuttgart's two major art academies, the Merz Akademie, Hochschule für Gestaltung, Kunst und Medien, Stuttgart, and the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart (ABK Stuttgart), in "THE GÄLLERY - Raum für Fotografie".
The musical playlist is an integral part of youth culture. As a carefully compiled sequence of songs with different timbres, rhythms and moods, it is more than the sum of its parts. In this sense, the exhibition opens up a polyphonic course that invites the public to immerse themselves in the changing atmospheres of the individual projects.
The works shown in the current exhibition exhibit interesting intersections between applied, documentary and artistic photography. The themes are as diverse as the realities of the students' lives. Biographical experiences and everyday observations set the tone: the projects deal with questions of belonging, community and social character or explore existential musical experiences and touching lines of text.
