Meatball trees and pancake pies, Prillan and Gustavsson, Mama Moo and Crow - Sven Nordqvist has conquered many a children's room with his worlds of pictures and words full of quirky and lovable characters. Sven Nordqvist's children's books have been translated into more than 40 languages. The Junge Kunsthalle will present a colorful selection of Nordqvist's work as a highlight in 2025. Both well-known illustrations and, at least in this country, less well-known pictures from his rich oeuvre will be on display in the original. With sketches and preparatory work, a special focus will be on the artistic process, the path from the initial idea to the finished story.
Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the imaginative, fantastic pictures and stories. They can also give free rein to their own creativity and imagination in the Pettersson and Findus studio rooms and the specially equipped workshop.
The exhibition "Pettersson, Findus & Co. The fabulous world of Sven Nordqvist" can be seen in the Junge Kunsthalle at Hans-Thoma-Straße 4, 76133 Karlsruhe.
