Otmar Spiss was born in Mayrhofen (Austria) in 1936, came to Switzerland in 1956 and after studying architecture worked as a freelance architect with successful participation in architectural competitions. Since 1970 he ran his own architectural office, later connected with a gallery for contemporary art. Until he moved to Hungary in 2001, he realized various buildings. From this time he was increasingly active as a painter and sculptor.
Otmar Spiss lives and works in Bad Säckingen since October 2010.
