Leonardo da Vinci (1452 - 1519) was not only a famous painter, but also a polymath and visionary inventor. The special exhibition invites you into the workshop of the ingenious engineer. After a special welcome by the Mona Lisa, visitors discover the master's ideas, which were often far ahead of their time. Leonardo experimented with innovative drives and developed machines for a wide variety of applications. He designed bridges and vehicles and was inspired by nature to create unusual flying objects. More than 20 interactive constructions and hands-on stations keep things moving. Children and adults can immerse themselves in Leonardo's world and experience his inventions up close by touching and trying them out. The spectrum ranges from a drum machine to a parachute and mirror chamber to a pedal boat. An exhibition that fits in perfectly with Mannheim, the city of inventors, where the bicycle and automobile, among other things, had their beginnings.
