Annegret Hoch (*1969) and Siegfried Kreitner (*1967) always develop their exhibitions out of the respective space - they "conquer" it artistically. Their works combine to form an impressive symbiosis:

Kreitner creates precise kinetic objects made of aluminum, Plexiglas and neon that move slowly and often barely perceptibly. Light, color and geometry play central roles. He himself speaks of "minimal kinetics" - mechanized sculptures that nevertheless appear mysterious.

Hoch's paintings, on the other hand, react directly to the space. Her color-intensive compositions - sometimes using natural materials such as beet juice or sepia - explore the limits of the medium. Her collages in particular, often made from everyday materials such as A4 paper, have been expanding as spatial installations since 2019 and incorporate architectural elements.

The interplay between the two artists creates a game with space and time. While Kreitner's kinetic works suggest stasis in their accentuated slowness, as it were, but are actually in motion, Hoch's paintings, although static in themselves, convey progression and energy in their sweeping gesture.
