The painter Philipp Klein exhibited together with greats such as Claude Monet, Wassily Kandinsky and Edvard Munch. He was one of the German Impressionists around Lovis Corinth, Max Liebermann and Max Slevogt. He created numerous works during his short career and was appreciated by the public and critics alike during his lifetime - and yet Philipp Klein has almost been forgotten today. The special exhibition "AUFGETAUCHT! Philipp Klein in the circle of the Impressionists" aims to change this. For the first time in more than 100 years, paintings by the artist can be admired again in a major presentation. The show will be on display at the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen from September 21, 2025 to April 6, 2026. The project is being realized together with the Landesmuseum Hannover.
