The Art Nouveau era was characterized by an unbridled joy of experimentation - a wide variety of creative expressions appeared side by side. Depending on the temperament of the artists, extremely idiosyncratic and divergent forms were created. Some preferred the floral, others worked more geometrically. There were also differing national and regional characteristics. As a result, no homogeneous formal language of Art Nouveau emerged. Diversity became the common denominator. A current exhibition at the Keramikmuseum Staufen is now dedicated to these different manifestations of Art Nouveau ceramics in the respective countries.
