Singer-songwriter duo "Lenya" and picture sponsor Oliver Roland
Lenya Krammes (vocals/piano/guitar) and Tobias Stolz (percussion/gutarre) continue the "Klangbilder" concert series, which takes place at the Museum Purrmann-Haus in cooperation with the Music School of the City of Speyer. LENYA is a singer-songwriter, singer and pianist who likes to observe our world from different perspectives and packs this into her English-language songs. Influenced by the great songwriters and musical role models such as Carole King, Tina Dico, James Taylor and Paul McCartney, she brings an authentic and handmade sound to the stage together with her songwriting partner Tobias Stolz (percussion & guitar). The duo has released three CDs as indie productions in cooperation with well-known artists. The songs on the EP series "Songs about Eve" are about leaving something old behind with a heavy heart, taking a last look at it and then breaking new ground. In addition, there are already new compositions in the program. Listeners can expect an honest sound, with the focus on the story of the songs - they form the soundtrack to a hopeful journey.

The concert's picture sponsor is Oliver Roland, executor of Werner vom Scheidt's estate and managing director of the Ike and Berthold Roland Foundation. He has selected two works by Werner vom Scheidt for the musical interpretation, which commemorate Hans Purrmann's encounter with the graphic artist and his wife, the writer Martha Saalfeld. He will present these at the beginning of the concert, followed by the "Klangbilder" by the duo LENYA. Once again, the visual arts, the art of music and words and the theme of the artist's marriage will enter into an exciting dialog. As part of the concert, Oliver Roland will donate a previously unknown woodcut by Werner vom Scheidt with a portrait of Hans Purrmann to the museum's collection.

Admission to the concert entitles you to visit the exhibition "Hans Purrmann and Mathilde Vollmoeller-Purrmann. An Artist Couple of Classical Modernism" at the museum, which will be open from 11 a.m. on the day of the event until after the end of the concert.
