I am me

In a creative workshop with Anastasia Kohler, participants immerse themselves in the world of portraits and design their own work of art. A colorful self-portrait in the style of pop art is created from a photo of yourself. Using oil pastels and a simple transfer technique, you can create an expressive picture even without any previous knowledge - colorful, rich in contrast, unique. The self-portraits convey your own mood, your favorite colors, your own style. At the same time, they require and promote an examination of the individual self-image and self-perception and strengthen self-esteem and self-efficacy through a quick sense of achievement.
The workshop requires no prior knowledge. It is a low-threshold offer with clear instructions and is equally suitable for children, young people and adults - simply for anyone who wants to try their hand at creativity. The portraits created in the workshop can - with the consent of the participants - be presented as a temporary part of the exhibition in the City Museum.
For the preparation, one or two photos (e.g. selfie, passport photo) must be sent by e-mail. Painting utensils will be provided on site.
The workshop leader is a social pedagogue, psychosocial counselor & therapist and art therapist.
