Art in Autumn at the Offenburg Art Association
This fall, the main exhibition at the Kunstverein Offenburg will feature Gabriele Glang’s works on paper and Rémy Trevisan’s graphic paintings.
Gabriele Glang is exhibiting exclusively works created using the paper casting technique, in which pigmented paper pulp is poured, sprayed, or dripped onto handmade paper as an artistic medium. The abstract, gestural paintings—inspired by residencies in Iceland and Denmark, among other places—draw on her sensory impressions of glaciers, volcanoes, the aurora borealis, and water in all its forms.
Under the title “Cartography of Seeing,” Rémy Trevisan brings together works from various creative phases and offers insight into a body of work that has explored the possibilities of perception for more than four decades. A particular focus is the “Hommage” series, in which figures from the worlds of art and literature are portrayed.
