Cooperation event between the Rastatt City Museum and the Rastatt Central Fund Archive
A themed guided tour of the City Museum on the Sunday of the Dead uses selected exhibits to shed light on burial customs and commemoration of the dead from antiquity to modern times. Museum director Johanna Kätzel takes visitors on a tour of the permanent exhibitions. Burial urns from Roman times and valuable decorative objects in Merovingian graves are on display, as well as funerary monuments and mortuary tablets from the 18th to 20th centuries. Visitors can also take the opportunity to view one or two objects from the museum depot.
The guided tour is part of this year's series of events on archaeology in cooperation with the Central Archives of the Baden-Württemberg State Archaeological Museum and the Rastatt City Museum.
Duration approx. 60 minutes, participation is free of charge, registration is not necessary.
