Open Monument Day event
On the occasion of Open Monument Day, the city museum can be visited free of charge. At 3 pm, there is also a special offer for children and families: under the motto "A laurel wreath for eternity", a child-friendly family tour offers insights into ancient Roman (grave) finds in our region. After the tour, children can make jewelry and laurel wreaths from gold foil during a craft activity. In antiquity, emperors and victors wore such laurel wreaths, and figures of gods were also adorned with them. In addition, some particularly rich or important deceased people were given a laurel wreath with gold foil leaves - for their journey to the afterlife. We design jewelry for the living, for victors great and small.
