Today, around one million Black people live in Germany.

Many of them are regularly asked about their "real" origins, yet our country has a centuries-long Black history and many Black families have lived in Germany for generations.
To mark the International Weeks against Racism, this year's program at the Salmen is drawing attention to the anti-Black racism that many of our fellow citizens are often exposed to throughout their lives with events and an exhibition.
This short tour through the special exhibition "What you don't see!" explains why it is so important for us as a society to keep creating platforms and publicity for this shockingly often overlooked topic.
