Verlag Baselland is presenting the childhood records of the recently deceased author Boris Oppliger from Münchenstein. In the book, he describes his upbringing as a foster and foster child in the 1940s and 1950s. The historian Dr. Loretta Seglias introduces us to Boris Oppliger as a person, places his fate in the overall Swiss context of compulsory welfare measures and locates his individual life story in the structural grievances of the time.
