With Aurora Király. Parcours de regards, the Fondation Fernet-Branca presents the first institutional solo exhibition of Aurora Király in France. For thirty years, the Bucharest-based artist has been asking what an image does: how it frames, and how it shapes the way we look. Photographs, textiles, and sculptures form a route that runs from personal memory and the body in motion to the textile factories of Mulhouse (FR), Reșița (RO), and Liestal (CH), where she makes the gestures of the women workers visible. Repetition, structure, and pattern echo the rhythms of production and reveal the body as a site of discipline and transformation.
The project carries the Bicentenaire de la Photographie label of the French Ministry of Culture and is part of the official Bicentenary programme, running from 1 September 2026 to 30 September 2027.
