Technique and industry
Discover Fritz Schlumpf's fabulous collection : Bugatti, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Hispano Suiza...
The Musée National de l'Automobile - Collection Schlumpf houses the world's largest automobile collection, bringing together more than 450 exceptional cars and emblematic models from the great manufacturers who have revolutionised our lifestyles : Bugatti, Panhard, Maserati, Rolls-Royce, Citroën...
Housed in a former spinning mill since 1982, the museum's 20.000 m2 of floor space showcases the development of the automotive industry, thanks to the Schlumpf brothers' historic collections, which have been enhanced with new models over the years. Since its creation, 422 items in the collection have been listed as Historic Monuments.
Several themed spaces, films and multiple animations present the history of the automobile in a lively way. Thanks to virtual reality, visitors can change the wheel of an F1 or drive the Bugatti Royale. The museum’s racetrack also allows driving legendary cars.
Each year, new temporary exhibitions and events are proposed within the National Automobile Museum.
