The Wallpaper Museum at Rixheim in the Alsace, certified as a Musée de France, is the only one of its kind in the world. It is one of the technical museums of the southern Alsace
and offers the chance to admire wallpaper dating back to the 18th Century right up to the present day, from traditional domino-print patterns to creations by contemporary designers.
The panoramics, which turn walls into visions of far off countries, exotic landscapes and idyllic gardens, are the stuff of dreams. Take a trip back in time to the beginning of the 19th Century, to India or North America; relive the Greek war of independence or admire the lush flora of Eldorado.
