The Museum of Screws and Threads is the only one of its kind in Europe.

It is dedicated to a key technical innovation of humanity: the screw and its myriad applications. Various thematic areas showcase the many facets of the world of screws and threading, including agriculture, industrialization, propellers and ship propellers, screw shapes in nature, the screw in language and architecture, the invention of the screw and the thread in antiquity, and the screwless Middle Ages.

The exhibition is wheelchair accessible and also invites children and adolescents to get a first look at the subject of screws. Screens with short film clips, interactive exhibits and an ORSY workshop trolley used for museum education purposes allow for an exciting time at the museum.

A visit to the Museum of Screws and Threads can change our perspective of our environment, where plenty of spirals and twisted and threaded forms can be discovered everywhere.
