To mark the 100th birthday of François Morellet (1926-2016), the Centre Pompidou-Metz is presenting a retrospective of his work in 100 works from 1941 to 2016, the most comprehensive ever organized. What is unique about Morellet is that he is both the most important French representative of geometric abstraction and the one who made the most decisive contribution to destabilizing it.
