Two men from Karlsruhe influenced the development of modern means of transport in a significant way: Carl Freiherr Drais von Sauerbronn invented the predecessor of an early bike, known as Draisine, and Carl Benz invented the very first automobile in 1886.

Our museum is located in a backyard of a former industrial site. Since 1969 unique pieces demonstrate the most important stages in the development of bicycles, motorbikes and cars. You will also find one of the biggest model railways inGermany(Spur H0) and a Faller-Car model that is constantly extended. It is in operation each Sunday and not only children find it fascinating!
