The Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden is an exhibition venue for international modern and contemporary art. The gallery was built in 1909 in the park on Lichtentaler Allee and comprises nine sky-lit halls and a cabinet for special exhibitions. The rigorous neoclassical layout of the building makes it an ideal location for staging dialogues between the artwork and its surrounding space, a dialogue that is conducted here in all the media, (paintings, sculptures, photography, video and installations).
On the international scene, the Kunsthalle enjoys a brilliant reputation due to its consistent promotion of contemporary art and its close cooperation with artists and international partners. A glass bridge connects the new part of the collection Frieder Burda with the Kunsthalle.
