They take part in motor races, go to school and play in the park: the dolls and teddy bears in the Toy Worlds Museum Basle invite you to join them on a richly varied journey of discovery. With more than 6000 teddy bears, dolls, toy grocers' shops, doll's houses and miniatures, it is the only one of its kind in Europe. The museum in the heart of Basle's inner city is home to the world's largest collection of teddy bears, numbering more than 2500 in total. Regular special exhibitions on selected themes also serve to widen the diversity displayed by the museum.
In addition to the entertaining exhibition, the Ristorante La Sosta provides an attractive setting in which to linger a while and savour the seasonal dishes and tasty snacks. The museum shop offers an extensive range of gifts and small mementoes. The selection of dolls, teddy bears and miniatures is also of great interest to collectors.
Every room in the Toy Worlds Museum Basle, from the ground floor to the 4th floor, is wheelchair-accessible. State-of-the-art hearing systems are available in the museum for persons with impaired hearing or a hearing aid.

The Ristorante La Sosta and the associated Boulevard restaurant are cosmopolitan in outlook and open to all. From seasonal dishes to light snacks and exquisite cakes and desserts, the menu contains all the ingredients for an enjoyably refreshing break. The Ristorante La Sosta Boulevard also serves tramezzini as well as tigelle and will happily prepare your order to take away.
Visitors to the Ristorante La Sosta enjoy a sophisticated atmosphere and attentive service. The wide-ranging menu with homemade hot and cold seasonal dishes, light snacks, salads and sandwiches offers something to suit every taste. Whether visiting the museum or taking a city stroll, you can count on fine cakes, desserts and tempting pastries for a short, culinary intermezzo. Both restaurants in the Toy Worlds Museum Basle are open daily from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. They provide a relaxing opportunity to reflect in peace on the many impressions inspired by your visit to the museum. Enjoy your meal.
