Musée Au fil du papier
In the heart of the city, the museum presents, on two levels, a collection of lacquered objects that is unique in France. Made of papier mâché, in the style of Chinese art, they were produced in the city or in Europe during the 19th century. The museum also retraces the history of the city: from its creation around the bridge, which makes it its symbol, to the presence of the famous University of Pont-à-Mousson, which shone throughout Europe for two centuries. It also presents the popular imagery of the city. In 2006, a room dedicated to foundries was opened, allowing the public to be exposed to 150 years of work, technical and scientific developments, working life and social activities.
