The traveling exhibition “Ganz rein!” presents an impressive series of photographs by Frankfurt-based photographer Peter Seidel featuring a wide variety of mikvahs. Mikvahs are ritual immersion baths that are constructed and used in accordance with religious guidelines. Photographer Peter Seidel from Frankfurt am Main has been documenting such facilities throughout Europe since 1987.
The extraordinary perspectives Peter Seidel has chosen for his mikveh series draw the viewer deep into the heart of these diverse structures—from antiquity to the present day.
