Did you know that the first official final for the German Women's Football Championship was held in the Bruchweg Stadium in Mainz in 1974? And what is Fritz Walter weather actually all about?

On the occasion of the men's World Cup, the ball is also rolling at the Landesmuseum Mainz. Embark on an interactive adventure tour through the various facets of the world's most popular sport. Find out more about the rules and equipment, about 1. FC Kaiserslautern and 1. FSV Mainz 05 and about the path from the football pitch to the Bundesliga. Young and old soccer fans from Rhineland-Palatinate have contributed their own personal memorabilia to the exhibition and show that soccer is more than "just a game".

The exhibition offers an entertaining and informative visit for fans, families and those who want to learn more about soccer. Of course, there will also be opportunities for fun and games with the ball.
