Silvan Wegmann (*1969 in Solothurn, lives in Baden) is considered one of the most prominent cartoonists in Switzerland. During the two-year renovation of the Langmatt, he took up a renovation theme once a month and turned it into a pointed, humorous depiction. His cabinet exhibition chronologically reviews the various stages of the renovation. A publication accompanies the exhibition.
As part of the overall renovation, Silvan Wegmann (SWEN) – alongside the artist duo BiglerWeibel and the artist Reto Boller – was invited to Langmatt for one of three long-term process-based art projects. Three different perspectives, generations and artistic media accompanied and documented the structural changes during the overall renovation. During this time, snapshots were repeatedly published on the museum's website and newsletter as well as on social media.

The projects culminated in three cabinet exhibitions to mark the reopening. The public will thus experience the renovation-related changes over two years from an artistic perspective, initially digitally and in 2026 on site in the newly renovated Langmatt in the form of a retrospective perspective with artistic results.
