Shigeru Ban

The Centre Pompidou-Metz pays tribute to its architect Shigeru Ban. More than a retrospective, it's an immersion in his thinking, between rigor and lightness, innovation and humanity. His models, sketches and experiments reveal his living, poetic and responsible architecture. In this exhibition, he also invokes those who have inspired him, from Calder to Jean Prouvé. He lets light, silence and transparency compose a total work, where space breathes, opens and comes alive like a breath.
